MAVIC 3 PRO LEAKS—FIRST DJI DRONE WITH 3 CAMERAS

So why pack in three cameras? It would offer aerial photographers and filmmakers some of the versatility seen on the best mirrorless cameras, or the latest flagship smartphones. What isn’t yet clear is exactly what focal lengths those three cameras will offer.

It’s becoming common for high-end smartphones to feature three cameras or more, but it’s exciting to see DJI drones catching up with this trend while providing gimbal stabilization and larger sensors than mobile devices. Using longer focal lengths allows for picking out details without having to fly the drone closer, which can help adhere to local drone regulations. However, the current DJI Mavic 3 has a gap between its wide-angle and telephoto lenses, and digital zooming can compromise image quality. Adding a mid-telephoto lens would make the Mavic 3 Pro a versatile aerial photography platform, albeit at a likely higher cost than its predecessor. The DJI Mavic 3 Pro would be a genuine professional option, though still more affordable than the rumored DJI Inspire 3, which is expected to launch around the same time.

This drone is a new breakthrough in aerial photography and provides professional-grade capabilities for high altitude shooting.

The Mavic 3 is equipped with a Hasselblad camera with a 20-megapixel resolution and an optical zoom of 28-200mm, which provides more precise focusing and excellent image quality. Additionally, the drone has a new height measurement sensor that allows it to fly at higher altitudes, as well as a new set of obstacle avoidance sensors.

The Mavic 3 also features a new Vision+ positioning system, which provides accuracy in positioning to within 3cm, allowing the drone to fly more precisely and stably.

Overall, the Mavic 3 is a high-level drone that is perfect for professional photographers and videographers, as well as enthusiasts who are looking for the most advanced technology for aerial shooting.
